Investment in Our Housing Stock

The Association continues to invest heavily in its housing stock with the following Major Repairs being delivered in 2025/26 

Completion of South West Govanhill Acquisition and Improvement Project (delivering fully refurbished homes for social letting). 

97 Westmoreland St; essential repairs to close & 8 flats 

MR5; 46 flats, full refurbishment 

MR6; 6 flats, full refurbishment 

21 Garturk St; 3 flats, full refurbishment to ‘Grade A Listing’ standard 

178 Allison Street – 5 flats, full refurbishment  

61 Albert Road - refurbishment of mid terrace property. 

Fire Protection Works to 200 Butterbiggins Road, Govanhill 

Upgrading Rainscreen Cladding and installing a fire suppression system. 

Kitchen & Bathroom Replacement Programme 

Commencement of a five-year programme to renew kitchens and bathrooms which are due for renewal up to March 2025 to 65% of our homes between 2025 and 2031. This work will include the renewal of the kitchen or bathroom, periodic electrical testing and any  repairs required, along with the renewal of fire detection systems. 

In 2025/26 we will start the programme with two pilot contracts- 

Govanhill Pilot - Boyd Street (mainly replacement bathrooms) 

Merrylee Pilot – Burrleton Road, Cherrybank Road, Friarton Road, Glasserton Road, Muirskeith Road (mainly replacement kitchens) 

Adapted Bathroom Upgrades and Conversions – older medically adapted homes throughout our stock in Govanhill & Merrylee receiving new bathrooms or shower-rooms. 
Kitchen and Bathroom upgrade contracts will be delivered through rolling £1.5M contracts thereafter up to 2031 on a block-by-block basis
